[ translate ]

**Originally Listed At $200**

East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. 19th century CE. A lovely pair of silk embroidery squares featuring vibrant insect and botanical motifs. The first depicts a flowering branch with a butterfly in shimmery hues of pink, yellow, green, blue, and teal on a silvery and gray ground. The other is just as vibrant with a beige ground and a pair of pomegranates with blooming flowers. The embroidery threads are sewn into a double panel of silk. The silk panels have been both protected with modern nylon and threading added to the perimeter edge. Butterflies, pomegranates, and flowers represent longevity and fertility; perfect auspicious symbols to display in a home! Size of each (both are relatively similar): 5.75" L x 5.5" W (14.6 cm x 14 cm)

Display stand shown in photos is for photography purposes only.
