2 Chinese Jade Items, Ming or Earlier

Two Chinese jade carvings dating from the Ming dynasty or earlier. One is a bi disc, and the other is a lezi bead with the bagua and a carved beast head.

Dimensions are: the larger carving measures 3 3/8 inches tall X 1/8 inches wide, 8.6 cm X 0.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Provenance: Bought at the Christie's May 1st, 2014 sale as lot 850. From the private, premier collection of a gentleman in Cleveland, Ohio. The items in the collection were acquired starting in the 1970s from auction houses including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonhams, as well as from various private collections in the United States.
