2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
Chassis No.
Chassis No.: WDD1993761M000347
Documents: French Certificat d’Immatriculation
The SLR was introduced in November 2003, the result of partnership between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. The groundbreaking supercar boasted dazzling proportions, with a long, sculpted bonnet and an impressive dash-to-axle ratio—necessary to accommodate the Mercedes-built 5.4-litre supercharged V-8 nestled entirely behind the front axle. Supremely engineered and manufactured to incredible standards at McLaren’s facilities in Woking, the magnificent SLR was perhaps the ultimate mix of supercar and grand tourer. And with unique gullwing doors, its spectacle persists even when parked.
The example offered here was ordered from Denmark and delivered to its first owner on 20 January 2005. The car was specified in Crystal Laurit Silver Metallic over a “Silver Arrow 300SL Red” interior, with the driver’s seat ordered in size Medium and the passenger seat specified in Large. In May 2016 the SLR McLaren was acquired by the consigning owner, with whom it has since remained. While in their care the Mercedes-Benz was subject to extensive ongoing maintenance, with €26,785 spent in January 2020 for a raft of works including replacement of both fuel tanks. A further €20,083 was spent in April of that year for an engine-out service that included the replacement of all belts, fluids, and filters, and a new power steering pump, ignition coils, and an overhaul of the air conditioning system. Invoices for works carried out are available to view on file. On 24 October 2023, Mercedes-Benz de Willermin Valence replaced the engine oil, gearbox oil, brake fluid, air and cabin filters. The odometer reads 27,028 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
