2008 Ferrari F430 Spider
Chassis No. ZFFEW59A480159310
The convertible counterpart to the timeless classic Ferrari F430 Berlinetta, the Spider, added an open-air driving experience to Ferrari's 21st century sports car when it was unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. Like many important Ferraris, Pininfarina played a key role in developing the design, drawing on influences from past models like the Ferrari Enzo. The F430's edgy lines were fine-tuned using state-of-the-art aerodynamic simulation programs, typically reserved for Ferrari's Formula One team and the resulting work produced a fresh design with large front air intakes, and a distinctive rear end featuring a competition-derived diffuser.
The F430 featured a new 4.3-liter V8 engine, a substantial upgrade from the previous generation's 3.6-liter V8, generating 490 horsepower. Enthusiasts were quick to warm to the F430's distinctive exhaust note, described as more aggressive and deeper when compared to that of the outgoing F360. The powerful V8 is attractively displayed under a glass cover and is complemented by two elliptical air intakes inspired by Ferrari's racing cars from the 1961 season. The compact, fully automatic electric hood of the F430 Spider was engineered to retain the Berlinetta's unobstructed engine views.
The F430's interior received updates for enhanced comfort and modernity, including a new steering wheel with integrated controls and a sophisticated dashboard layout. The introduction of the “manettino” dial on the steering wheel marked significant advancements in driver involvement allowing those behind the wheel to adjust various settings, including electronic stability control, suspension, and transmission behavior.
This F430 Spider is finished in attractive Blu Abu Dhabi, a welcome change from the traditional Rosso Corsa. Service records included verify all relevant maintenance has been performed since it was purchased new at Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, Connecticut in 2008. All service work throughout the life of the car has also been performed at Miller Motorcars establishing an unbroken service chain of records. In preparation for sale, this car received a recent service also at Miller Motorcars in February 2024. According to the clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this F430 retains a short ownership record with only two previous recorded owners. The F430 Spider seamlessly combines high-performance technology and a design that pays homage to Ferrari's racing heritage while offering a thrilling open-top driving experience
