2009 Aston Martin DBS
Chassis No. SCFAD05D29GE00770
As the latest flagship model for the Aston Martin range, the DBS was designed to be a combination of not only raw power and race-bred technology, but also design excellence. Featuring an elegant yet muscular exterior courtesy of Marek Reichman, the DBS stood strong as their flagship model for nearly half a decade. For the debut of the DBS, it was yet again shown on the big screen as James Bond's car of choice in the 2006 film Casino Royale and 2008's Quantum of Solace.
The first European left-hand-drive DBS Coupé fitted with an automatic transmission, according to a digital copy of the Aston Martin factory invoice, this example was delivered new in striking Amethyst Red with a Cream Truffle leather interior, and specified in Swiss configuration for its first owner. It was further equipped with an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a high-specification alarm system, a first aid kit, and a smoker's kit.
Stored from new as part of a significant private collection, the car had covered only 400 km when it was offered for public sale in 2023, at which time it was acquired by its second and current owner. Prior to that sale, it had benefited from a recommissioning carried out by British specialists Stratton Motor Company. Since then, its current French owner has returned the car to Europe, registered it in France, and added only a further 500 km to its odometer.
This exceptionally low mileage, combined with its status as the first European DBS fitted with an automatic transmission, makes it, without question, a highly sought-after collector example.
