Excellente voiture, la Ferrari 458 Italia a connu une belle carrière de 2009 à 2015. Elle faisait partie de la famille des Ferrari à moteur V8 et, pour la remplacer, le constructeur ne devait pas se tromper. Une fois de plus, il a frappé un grand coup en dévoilant en février 2015 un nouveau modèle spectaculaire, la 488 GTB. Tout en gardant un moteur V8, elle adoptait deux turbocompresseurs, reprenant ainsi la tradition de la 288 GTO et de la F40, deux icônes de l'histoire de la marque. Mais cette fois, Ferrari allait encore plus loin avec une cylindrée de 3,9L et une puissance qui atteignait 670 ch à 8 000 tr/mn, un régime-moteur réservé aux mécaniques les plus nobles et les plus sportives. Le reste était à l'avenant et, avec sa boîte de vitesses à sept rapports et son double embrayage, cette exceptionnelle supercar passait de 0 à 100 km/h en 3 secondes tout juste ! La vitesse de pointe était digne des meilleures, à 330 km/h.
Cette merveille mécanique était habillée par Pininfarina, le carrossier dont la fidélité à la marque se manifestait par l'homogénéité des lignes et la fluide élégance d'une forme qui affichait une brillante efficacité aérodynamique.
D'abord présentée en version berlinetta GTB, la 488 n'a pas tardé à connaître des déclinaisons encore plus exclusives, dont la version 488 Pista apparue au Salon de Genève 2018. Comme son nom l'indiquait, elle était plus spécifiquement destinée au circuit et Ferrari en avait donc travaillé l'efficacité en jouant principalement sur trois tableaux : le poids, qui diminuait de 90 kg par rapport à la GTB, la puissance, qui gagnait 50 ch pour passer à 720 ch (ce qui en faisait le V8 le plus puissant de l'histoire de la marque), et l'aérodynamique, dont les appuis étaient améliorés. Ces changements permettaient à la voiture de progresser en accélération pour atteindre 100 km/h en moins de 3 secondes ! Quant à la vitesse de pointe, elle passait à 340 km/h. A l'époque de sa sortie, ces performances faisaient de la 488 Pista la plus brillante de sa catégorie, devant les modèles équivalents de Porsche et McLaren.
Cette Pista fut livrée neuve à notre collectionneur par le concessionnaire Ferrari de Malmö pour prendre place aux côtés des autres exceptionnelles Ferrari et automobiles d'autres marques de sa collection. Elles sont toutes exposées dans son musée personnel qui bénéficie d'une température régulée de 22°C à l'année. De couleur Blu America, intérieur avec sièges en cuir naturel avec bande longitudinale couleur carrosserie, moquettes et garnitures de tableau de bord en Alcantara beige, elle est livrée avec pas moins de 40 options ! Comme sa Pista Spider, le propriétaire a choisi des détails très particuliers comme des ajouts de parties en carbone, des pipes d'échappement en titane, un système Bluetooth et Apple CarPlay et d'innombrables options disponibles au catalogue Tailor Made. Cette véritable voiture de course pour la route n'a parcouru que 140 km depuis sa sortie d'usine et sera livrée avec l'ensemble de la documentation d'origine.

An outstanding car, the Ferrari 458 Italia enjoyed a fine career from 2009 to 2015. It was part of the family of V8-engined Ferraris and, when it came to replacing it, the company had no room for error. Once again, it struck a decisive blow when, in February 2015, it unveiled a spectacular new model, the 488 GTB. This retained a V8 engine, but was now equipped with twin turbos, carrying on the tradition of the 288 GTO and the F40, two icons from the company's history. This time, however, Ferrari went further, taking the capacity to 3.9 litres and maximum power to 670 bhp at 8000 rpm, a speed reserved for the greatest, most sporting engines. The rest of the car was to match, and with its 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, this exceptional supercar could accelerate from 0-100 kph in just 3 seconds! At 330 kph, its top speed was on par with the best.
This marvellous powertrain received a body styled by Pininfarina, the coachbuilder whose loyalty to Ferrari was evident in its harmonious design and flowing, elegant shape, which was highly efficient aerodynamically.
Initially presented in GTB berlinetta guise, the 488 was soon offered in even more exclusive versions, including the 488 Pista that took its bow at the 2018 Geneva Show. As its name indicated, this model was specifically designed for track use, and Ferrari focused its work on improving its performance in three areas: weight, which was reduced by 90 kg (198 lb) compared with the GTB; power, which increased by 50 bhp to reach 720 bhp (making it the most powerful V8 in the company's history); and aerodynamics, with increased downforce. These changes allowed the car to accelerate faster and reach 100 kph (62 mph) in under 3 seconds, and to go on to a top speed of 340 kph (211 mph)! When it was launched, these figures took the 488 Pista to the top of its class, ahead of the equivalent models from Porsche and McLaren.
This Pista was delivered new to our client by the Ferrari dealer in Malmö to take its place alongside the other exceptional Ferraris and cars from other manufacturers in his collection. They are all displayed in his personal museum, where the temperature is set to 22°C throughout the year. Finished in "Blu America", the car has natural-coloured leather seats with a lengthwise body-coloured stripe, beige Alcantara carpets and dashboard trim and no fewer than 40 options! As with his Pista Spider, the owner selected some very specific options, such as additional carbon fibre trim, titanium exhausts, a Bluetooth system with Apple CarPlay and countless options from Ferrari's Tailor Made programme. This racing car for the road has covered only 140 km since leaving the factory and will be supplied with all its original documentation.
Drawing on the experience in motorsport which Ferrari built up over several decades, the 488 Pista is brimming with technology and high performance, making it more than just a supercar. It is capable of posting the best times during a weekend on track, then calmly driving home ... And so it upholds the tradition of the greatest Ferraris in history.
