20th C. American & Danish Silver Serving Assortment (7)

Northern Europe, Denmark & United States, New York & Connecticut, ca. late 19th to mid-20th century CE. A wonderful collection of antique and vintage sterling silver and silver weighted serving trays, tea service bowls, and spoons, a total of 7 items. The 2 spoons have loop handles, the acorn spoon has silver hallmarks and the Georg Jensen and Wendelays mark used from 1945 to 1951, and the other is marked with the Georg Jensen mark of the "GJ" initials used from 1933 to 1944. The concave dish is marked with the US Woodside company mark and has decorative leaf handles. The ovoid tray is by Wallace Silversmiths, another American company. The last piece is a sterling weighted pedestal serving bowl with a knobbed lid, engraved with an "L." The creamer pitcher and matching sugar bowl have lobed exteriors and stamped "sterling" on the base. This is a great collection with minor signs of use and could still be used today for special occasions. Size (Wallace dish): 16.25" L x 11.25" W x 2.5" H (41.3 cm x 28.6 cm x 6.4 cm); silver quality: 92% to 93%

Condition Report: Minor surface abrasions consistent with age and use. Small areas of loss to silver plating on the lidded bowl. Toning and cleanable dark patina on all. Some rubbing to hallmarks, but mostly discernable. Sugar bowl, pitcher, and lidded bowl do not have maker marks. Overall great condition.
