3 Sterling Silver Revere Bowls

Three (3) sterling silver Revere bowls of varying sizes, including two (2) by International and one (1) by Reed and Barton, all having flared rims and round, footed bases. Stamped to underside of bases with maker's marks, numbers, Sterling, and "Paul Revere Reproduction". Not monogrammed. Ranging in size from 2 1/8" H x 3 5/8" dia. to 5 1/8" H x 10 1/2" dia. 45.35 total troy ounces. Mid 20th century. Provenance: The collection of Gary Glesser of Loudon, Tennessee, by descent from his grandparents, Captain Hoyt and Rachel Holton of Toledo, Ohio. Hoyt Holton became, at age 17, the youngest captain of a Great Lakes Freighter. In the 1960s, Captain Holton participated in a 26-day Admiral Byrd Society trip replicating the explorer's famous transpolar expedition, during which he met the Pope and Soviet Premier Nikita Kruschev. Many items in the collection were brought back as souvenirs from that journey and other frequent voyages.

CONDITION: All items in overall good condition with normal surface scratches, primarily to interior of bowls.
