Commonwealth Pair of gold & silver "Columbus Anniversary" Medals 1994 UNC, 1) silver Medal, 41mm, 33.55gm 2) gold Medal, 41mm, 62.29gm A scarce set of commemorative medals which include the original owner's tickets, attesting to the gold medal's production in 18 ct. gold and stating mintages of only 3 examples in gold and 4 in silver, neither of which we have been able to verify. Regardless it is certain that both remain extremely elusive, crafted in ultra-high relief with resulting exquisite visual charm. Sold with both original collector's tickets and later dealer tickets.
