It was a marketing concept that Otto Mears promoted to increase ridership on his San Juan Mountains Railroad. This is pass number 261, issued to T.L. Drake. The pass is beautifully engraved with an oval inset at top-left of a train passing through the mountains. Deep gray patina with a hint of underlying green.
