A Fine and Rare Complete Japanese High Ranking Diplomat Sword, Coat and Trousers in their Original Silk Lined Leather Trunk. Comprising; 1) The Diplomatic sword of standard configuration realigning mush original gilding. Blade in full polish, perfect etching. Extremely minor corrosion at the forte. The grip wire which is usually strung is perfect. Sword retains original bullion knot. Black lacquer scabbard rates excellent with very little damage and only a few minor marks. Sword fits neatly in original silk ties and original leather boot inside of trunk lid. 2) Heavy coat with bullion kirimon and vegetal decoration is in pristine condition with little if any wear. 3) Trousers in excellent condition as well. 4) Interior of trunk with little or damage to silk, exterior of trunk with expected wear but still retains original key. A remarkable ensemble and a true find for the collector of Japanese Militaria. Initials TS on each side of trunk. 5) Ensemble has original diplomatic hat with peacock feathers, hat is contained in Black Japan lacquer metal carrying case with makers name in gold lacquer. Condition: With moderate age wear and handling marks, otherwise fine. Outside of trunk with numerous scuffs and mars as expected. Insides in good condition. Some significant scuffs to edges.
