[Abraham Lincoln]: Assorted Assassination-Related Ephemera. 1) Carte-de-visite captioned "John Wilkes Booth, the Assassin." 2) Carte-de-visite of Edwin Booth. 3) Sarony cabinet card of Edwin Booth in costume. 4) Rockwood cabinet card of Edwin Booth in costume, as Hamlet. 5) April 17, 1865 General Orders No. 69 ordering closure of the War Department, in observance of Lincoln's death and funeral. 6) August 14, 1867 ALS from Tom Taylor (two pages on a single sheet), author of "Our American Cousin" (two ink stains). 7) 4" x 9.5" playbill for Laura Keene's performance in "Our American Cousin" in New Haven on April 21, 1860. 8) Ten-page typed transcript, signed Edward C. Jones, of a newspaper article he wrote for the January 31, 1897 issue of the Anderson, Indiana Morning Herald, claiming that Christopher C. Ritter (a Knight of the Golden Circle) was with Booth following the assassination and that Edward Fox, not Booth, was killed at Garrett's farm.
