Condition Report: Unlined canvas. Tape on left, right, and upper tacking edges, extending slightly into the picture plane. Minor abrasions near edges, likely from a previous frame. Small holes along lower edge where tacking nails were previously located. Some scattered instances of discolored accretion, possibly varnish. Finely patterned craquelure throughout. Under UV: sparsely applied varnish fluoresces green slightly. A brushy area of retouching extending across the leftmost woman's proper right hand, down slightly into the white background below her hand. A cluster of small dots of retouching to the right edge in the lower right corner. Heritage Auctions strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
