A 1920'S GERMAN SILVER GILT AND ENAMEL SINGING BIRD BOXAntique, early 20th century, probably by Karl Griesbaum with retailers mark for WM, the rectangular box with decorated throughout with cloisonne enamel and mounted with garnets and other stones, marked to the under side 'WM', when wound, the hinged cover pops up to reveal a pierced gilt scrolling grill from which the singing bird emerges, with brightly coloured plumage, flapping its feathered wings and singing, with winder, 10cm wide x 4cm high The box is in working order but not fully tested or guaranteed.
