A 1920's silver three piece tea service by James Dixon & Sons.

A 1920's silver matched three piece tea service, comprising teapot, a twin-handled sugar bowl and a cream jug, each of bulbous oblong shape with gadroon rim, girdle detail and raised on four ball feet, the teapot with ebonised handle and finial. Hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1927, cream jug dated 1924. Maximum length of teapot 11.75" (30cm), gross weight 41.65 ozt (1295.5 grams).

Condition Report:
- All pieces displaying some surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and general use.
- Heavier tarnishing to some areas and would benefit from a clean and polish.
- Some visible seam lines with likely small repairs. Especially along the seam line on handle side of cream jug.
- Hinged lid of teapot appears in good working order and closes flush.
- Handle and finial are probably stained or simulated wood. Hallmarks clear and legible. Lion passant struck to teapot lid.
- All with impressed pattern number to underside, 4602.
