A 20th Century Meissen Porcelain Monkey Band. Comprising a conductor, a music stand, a singing figure holding a book of sheet music, a drummer (tail and drum stick chipped), a figure with two drums on his back, a female playing the harp, a male playing the trumpet, a male playing the bassoon, a male with pair of drum sticks in his hand, a male playing a French horn, a male playing bagpipes, a female playing a lyre, a male playing a flute, a male with two drum sticks in his hand (chipped), and a male playing a violin. All pieces bear Meissen crossed swords mark and are stamped "Germany" Conductor height: 6.75"
Condition Report: Both of the monkeys in the yellow coats have breakage to the instruments in their hands. Drummer in green shirt has breakage to instrument in right hand, and a chip to the tip of his hair tie, also with hardened adhesive residue to his back and a chipped tail. Horn player in green coat with a chip to the underside of his hat and an arm has been reattached with glue. Bassoon player in purple coat with the end of his flute reglued and some adhesive residue on his back. Monkey carrying drums on his back with a small chip to the strap underneath his hand and one large toe reattached.
