A 20th century Russian black lacquer box, signed and dated Tianex 1963, the lid decorated with a fairytale scene of a horse-drawn sledge within a gilt border, 17cm wide x 10cm deep x 5cm high, and another similar, the lid decorated with a mounted soldier in a landscape within a gilt border, signed and dated Tianex 1962, 12cm wide x 10cm deep x 2.5cm high (2)
Both boxes with small surface marks and scratches particularly to the bases. Larger box with hairline surface crack along the front edge of the box. Smaller box with lid detached from hinges
