A BALINESE PADMA CARVED TEAK DOORWAY PORTAL, EARLY/MID 19TH CENTURY, the upward curving crest with flared ears is integral to the lintel, the double arched crest over post fasçades carved profusely with relief padma (lotus) flowers blossoming among scrolling karang (acanthus leaf), the pivot hinged doors with central incised cartouche forms and mounted with a bronze sawtooth edge and pokerwork escutcheon issuing a loop handle and mounted with looped wooden slide lock fitting at back, the portal opening over a well worn threshold, mounted to a plinth base. Height: 80.75" Width: 53.00" Depth: 7.00"
