A BELLE EPOQUE DIAMOND BROOCH, an old-cut diamond in a milgrain setting within a diamond set laurel border, to a pierced circular frame with an outer border of rose-cut diamonds, total estimated diamond weight 0.65ct approximately. Measures 2.9cm in diameter. 7.68 grams. Cased.
Condition Report: The brooch is in good condition, there is slight unevenness to some of the knife-edge bars to the frame, the principal diamond with a small surface reaching fracture to the table. It is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as platinum. It fastens with a pin and safety catch. Estimated principal diamond weight 0.25ct approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour: H/I, clarity: SI1/SI2.
