China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The deep rounded sides rising from a short ring foot, freely painted around the exterior in rich cobalt-blue tones with two sinuous five-clawed dragons alternating with two magic pearls, amid flames and clouds, the interior with a dragon medallion, the underside with an apocryphal Wanli reign mark within a double circle.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear and firing imperfections.
Provenance: German private collection, acquired at a German auction house in 2011.
