A CAUCASIAN POLYCHROME WOVEN TEXTILE FRAGMENT, 20TH CENTURY, possibly a silk or wool saddle bag or coverlet fragment, composed of square and rectangular panels stitched together centering large square form lozenges quartered with interior cross details, enclosed by cubes and above hooked "S" banding opposite continuous lozenges, woven in colorful shades of purple, aubergine, yellow, green and blue, professionally mounted and matted in a conforming glass covered gilt metal frame. Height: 28" Width: 11 1/2" Provenance: Property from a Fortune 500 Energy Company, Houston, Texas.
