A CLOISONNE ENAMEL MINIATURE VASE WITH COVER
Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912)
The small vase with domed cover is worked in silver wire and colored enamels with butterflies and flowers on a black ground. The base shows a similar design on a blue ground. The interior of the vase and cover as well as the underside rim applied with brass.
HEIGHT 6 cm, INNER DIAMETER 3 cm
Condition: The cover knob missing. With minimal surface wear and one larger area where the enamel has been damaged.
