Louis et de la Mobile," for the court of Louis XV (1710-1774), King of France, a compass rose with fleur-de-lis, notes on early exploration routes, indigenous settlement and territories, the most detailed information available in early 18th century regarding rivers and coastlines of the Gulf of Mexico, and geographical elevations. 19" x 25 3/4" Provenance: Estate of Diane A. Langwith, Omaha, Nebraska.
Condition Report: Sheet trimmed and laid down now, creases, old repairs, and inpainting, some handling creases, mild fading of hand color, a small tear at top center, overall in good condition, wear commensurate with age.
