A Celadon Jade Inset Huanghuali Wood Cover Box
QING DYNASTY (1644-1912)
清 黃花梨鑲玉方蓋盒
of square form, the cover inset with two celadon jade plaques, the first reticulated and carved to show a goose flying admist lotus blossoms and entwined leafy vines, the second carved and decorated with Buddhist emblems, the cover having shaped and beaded edges.

The two jade insets are in overall good and complete condition. Heavy dust to the recesses. The wood cover with large cracks, the top panel of the cover was once detached and glued back to the frame, the box missing part of the foot ring.
