18th century, porcelain bowl and cover originally painted and fired with underglaze blue decoration in China, then exported to the Netherlands where the bowl and cover were over-decorated with European style florals in vivid iron-red, cobalt blue, white, and gilt enamels, this style of export porcelain is often referred to as Dutch or Amsterdam Bont.
