A Chinese blue and white dish
Of circular form, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, the centre painted with a floral medallion encircled by two bands, one of petals, the other of flowers, the wide rim decorated with floral sprays, the outer rim with a scrolling leaf pattern, each circular register separated by fine double lines in underglaze blue, the back with six large flower heads, the foot encircled by double lines in underglaze blue, the base glazed, and with a double-channeled foot rim. Period: Shunzhi (1644‑1661). Diameter: 36 cm.
