A Chinese openwork carved exotic hardwood six-panel screen, the circular and rectangular famille rose porcelain plaques depicting battle- and court scenes, late 19thC - Republic period, H 205 - W 6 x 56 cm, the porcelain plaques: ca. ø 26 - 25 x 25 cm
Condition: The porcelain plaques:
- One porcelain plaque with underglaze cracks.
Otherwise, the other plaques appear in our opinion in good condition.
The carved wood panels:
- the whole divided into two parts (hinges missing)
- the frames in which the plaques are presented with visible connections (spacious areas between the joints)
- the wooden backpanels of the porcelain plaques with cracks all over
- some usual wear all over
- hinges not original
Furthermore, the item is in our opinion in acceptable to good condition.
