A Chinese white-glazed chrysanthemum dish 白釉菊花纹盘 Yongzheng six-character mark and of the period 雍正款 清 雍正

The shallow rounded sides molded as 24 chrysanthemum petals rising from the circular footring, the underside inscribed with the six-character mark within a double circle.

NOTE: The present dish relates in scale and form to dishes believed to have been made for the court, to be enameled in the Imperial workshops in Beijing with elegant floral sprays in famille rose enamels, such as the two dishes from the Qing Court collection, preserved in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in "The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Porcelains with Cloisonne Enamel Decoration and Famille Rose Decoration", Hong Kong, 2008, nos. 58, 59, pp. 68, 69.
