A Chinese yellow-glazed archaistic vessel, Xing Guangxu six-character mark and probably of the period

Decorated with scrolling vines, geometric scrolls, and a honeycomb diaper across the body, flanked by two lion head handles, raised on three lobed foliate feet, with a rich yellow glaze, underside marked.

(H: 9 3/4 in.)

Provenance: Acquired in China by the grandparents of the present owner in the 1950's.
Thence by descent.
