A Circa 1870's Wood Brisé Fan, the guards varnished, the sixteen inner sticks decoratively pierced along the top third, below which a band of paper press-outs are adhered, these showing various Coats of Arms, including the Prince of Wales feathers and the Russian double-headed black Eagle with St George and the Dragon in the centre. Various mottos in latin relating to different countries accompany the examples such as "Dieu et mon Droit", "L'Union Fait La force", "In Hog Signo Vinces" and "Je Maintiendrai".
