A Cizhou type stoneware Group, Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644)
depicting a seated dignitary, flanked by two attendants, with his saddled horse standing behind him, on a waisted rectangular plinth, the whole covered in a grey and cream slip with details painted in iron brown.
Foot has a large restored section from the front to the back, extending 4cm up the side. The two tabs hanging from the scholar's hat also restored. Otherwise fair, but with extensive glaze losses and glaze discolouration as visible in photos.
