Finely worked in gold and silver wire on a dark blue ground with a family of ducks swimming in a lake surrounded by a profusion of flowering blooms of maple, chrysanthemums, irises, kohone (Nuphar japonica) and other aquatic plants in multi-coloured enamels growing around a stone lantern, the neck with white chrysanthemums interwoven among tasselled brocade floral pendants, the foot with a band of repeated lappets, applied with a gilt rims, the base stamped with the lozenge mark of Hayashi Kodenji and signed Aichi Hayashi saku; with a custom-made, velvet storage box. 19.7cm (7¾in) high.
