A Danish Baroque snakeskin silver beaker, gilt interior, engraved with leaf cartouche with initials and year “SPSK STD 1760”. Maker Johan Henrik Smith, licensed in Viborg 1754–1779. Weight 100 g. H. 8 cm.
Provenance: Christian Peter Jensen (b. Jernvedlund near Ribe 1893, d. in the late 1970s in Haderslev). He was known as “Antik-Jensen” in his antique shop in Haderslev in the 1950s-1970s. Thence by his descendants until today.
