the deep sides rising from a splayed foot to an everted rim, painted to the exterior with nine polychrome dragons in a wave ground, the base with an apocryphal four-character mark in iron-red
Diameter 21.8 cm, 8½ in.
Condition Report:
There are general wear and losses to the surface, enamels and gilding. There is a small glaze flake to the turquoise enamel to the interior rim (ca. 0.3 cm long), possibly a manufacturing flaw. There are also two chips to the foot (the largest ca. 1.4 cm long).
