A FINE CHARLES I OAK LOW OR CHILDS JOINED STOOL, ENGLISH, CIRCA 1630-1640. The bold moulded top with four pegs above moulded frieze rails joined by baluster and collar turned legs with plain stretchers and original toes, 34cm high 32.5cm wide 30cm deep Note - Small square low stools were either children s furniture or specific footstools. Provenance - Aubrey and Brenda Burton ,Private Collection, purchased from them in the late 1970 s.
