The high-quality quartered Oak sloped lidded box with bold applied mouldings to the top, with inscribed initials E W having remains of the original mastic inlay, flanked by original iron butterfly hinges, above a front panel elaborately carved with tulips, thistles, carnations, roses and pears, the interior with three original drawers retaining original fruitwood knobs, 69cm wide 46cm deep.
