Nakago (tang): signed Higo (no) Kami Akamatsu Taro Kaneteru Saku and dated on the reverse Heisei 4 Nen Shishihun

Nagasa (length): 72.4 cm, saki-haba (width at the tip) 2.2 cm, machi-haba (width at the bottom of the blade) 3.3 cm

Koshirae: saya (scabbard) with a small shakudo (black alloy) kojiri (bottom of the scabbard) with a gold floral inlay, tsuka (handle) leather wrapped with iron fuchi-kashira (hilt ornaments) and gold highlights, floral menuki, iron square-shaped samé sukashi tsuba (pierced hand guard) of birds over waves design, together with a further black lacquer saya (scabbard) with iron kojiri (bottom of the scabbard)
