BP) and Christie's London, Important English Furniture and Carpets (6462), 14th June 2001, Lot 200 (£22,325 incl. BP). Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips, splits and minor losses Various old veneer and moulding repairs - see images The d-moulding to one side of the front appears to have been repaired and recoloured Backboards are later replacements Evidence of old worm - where this is evident on the finished surface some dark wax or filler has been used to disguise. Handles and escutcheons are later replacements but in period taste and suit the piece well Locks are possibly original No key present but all locks are open.
