A FIVE PIECE MAISON ODIOT STERLING SILVER TEA/COFFEE SERVICE, STAMPED, PARIS, 1836-1906, in the Régence/Rococo Revival taste and each cast with a bombé body and stippled ground, detailed in abundance with shallow relief trellis, acanthus leaves, floral blooms, rocaille, and sides centering "C" scrolled cartouches enclosing armorial shields with a church style building topped by a roofed tower and fluttering banner, on a lined background and surmounted by a coronet, the pouring vessels having dragon head spouts and those with lids having beautifully modeled detachable finials of blossoming leafy clusters opposite curling coquille hollowware handles, comprising a lidded hot water kettle on tilt warming stand, verso 3634, height (extended handle): 16 1/4"; a lidded coffee pot, verso 2851, height: 10 1/2"; a lidded teapot, verso 2850, height: 7 1/2"; a lidded two handled sugar bowl with vermeil interior, verso 2852, height: 6 3/4"; a cream pitcher with vermeil interior, verso 2855; each stamped on underside with "ODIOT / A PARIS," above their respective number, the Odiot "O" and oil lamp stamp, the octagonal Minerva bust with 1, silver purity number 900, and base rims, handles, lid rims, and finials stamped with the Minerva1 mark and 900, total approximate weight: 221.666 oz t.
