The top is painted (beneath a clear lacquer or acrylic layer) to resemble marble/hardstones/scagliola. There are some scratches from use in the clear acrylic layer, and a few small chips/scuffs at edges. The brass has a "cloudy" appearance with smudges and fingerprints from handling as well as light scratches and some spotty oxidized areas that could be cleaned/polished away. The top rests via gravity in the legs, and needs braces/additional hardware or screws to make it very secure, but the table is stable and usable overall. The top separates from the legs, which are solid brass and rather heavy, for transport.
