A French Sevres style porcelain and gilt metal mounted clock garniture, Japy Freres, late 19th century, the eight-day gong striking movement with stamped roundel and serial numbered 22130 to backplate, the enamelled Roman numeral dial with bird and foliate decoration, the case surmounted by an urn, and with conforming serial number, 31cm high, and a pair of conforming pedestal urns, each 20.5cm high (3) Provenance: Property from a Private CollectionCondition Report: Has pendulum and keyOne of the feet to the clock case is a replacement. - this is similar in pattern but shorter in height and 'made up' with a thick footpad. it is one rear leg. Case with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use the case with some wear and some pitting and discolourationDreweatts cannot make any guarantees it is in working order or give any comments as to accuracy of time keeping. We recommend getting the clock appraised and cleaned/overhauled by a professional restorer prior to use. The pendulum has confirming serial number and is the original, the key is probably a replacementThere is wear and rubbing to the gilt surface of the porcelain, one panel to the garniture has small chip and loss to the lower section where it meets the mount.
