A French Silver-Gilt Mounted Enamel Scent-Bottle With Control Mark for Small Articles, Late 19th Century
Marked on neck mount. The marks are generally clear. There is some minor scratching to the enamel and some minor wear to the painting places. The enamel seems otherwise to be intact, though there are some very minor chips to the base. These are mostly only noticeable under magnification. The bottle seems to be glass lined and as far as I can see the glass in intact. There is some wear to the gilding on the mounts. The bottle dates to the late 19th century. The stopper is present with the lot and detaches properly.
tapering bottle-shaped and enamelled overall with Renaissance-style figures and masks on a black ground, the hinged cover similarly enamelled
