A French gilt bronze Bacchic figural group, late 19th century, with two dancing nymphs and a satyr, with impressed mark for Jules Graux Foundry to the socle, 68.5cm high; presented on a later fluted variegated grey and white marble column, 117cm highCondition Report: The sculpture has a significant damage to the upper left arm of the central maiden, exposing some of the inner structure of the sculpture. She also has noticeable dents to the left knee, wrist and fingers.The smaller maiden is also scuffed near the hand of the central maiden, and has fissures surrounding the neck, possibly a restoration. The gilding to the infant satyr is scuffed to his tummy and thigh.There is a circa 3-5cm chip to the front edge of the pilaster base. and sections of the pedestal have been replaced with different cuts of marble. Including circa 15cm wide section to the right side of the base, and another to the top. Condition Report Disclaimer
