A French leather travelling case by Goyard of Paris, early 20th century
with stamped brass catches and makers label 'Malles Goyard', 233 Rue Saint Honore PARIS', with a linen-lined plain interior, monogrammed 'M.M.'
25.5cm. high, 61cm. wide, 37cm. deep; 10in., 2ft., 1ft. 2 1/2in.
Condition Report:
Nice quality but wear and old damage from transit and storage in an attic over many years. Leather corner brackets with distress, fraying and tears. Metal tarnished. Linen discoloured to the interior and with stains. Old marks and scratches and stains as to be expected. The monogrammed is rubbed.
