A French mid 19th century zircon & diamond cluster ring
The cushion-shape brown zircon within a rose-cut diamond surround, to a plain tapered shank, bearing French assay marks, ring size N.
Condition Report: Weight approx. 4g. Overall condition fair. Surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with general wear. Shank very thin and worn, possible replacement. Remnants of an engraving to the inner shank, illegible. Zircon in fair condition with some minor abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Zircon medium slightly orangey-brown, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Zircon dimensions approx. 8.5 x 7.4 x 5.6mm. Diamonds in fair conditon.
