A GEORGE III CARVED GILTWOOD AND CREAM PAINTED SEMI ELLIPTICAL SIDE OR CONSOLE TABLE CIRCA 1780 With a variegated green marble top 81cm high, 124cm wide, 51cm deep Condition Report: Console with the marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old repaired crack to one side of the top. Repair is well executed and secure. Painted and parcel gilt surface has been sympathetically 'refreshed' at some pint but has an attractive appearance/patina.Surface with the expected chips, flaking and losses. Minor evidence of old glue residue to some joints of the interior of the carcass - see images. Slight movement/wobble within frame but table is structurally solid overall.
