A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF HEVAJRA AND CONSORT
Himalayan region, 17th - 18th century or possibly earlier. The two-part group depicting the eight-headed deity standing in alidha with the other two legs lifted off the base, with sixteen arms, each holding a kapala. The main arms embracing his consort Nairatmya, who is depicted wrapped around Hevraja's waist with her right leg, holding a kapala in her left hand and a triguk in her right. On a recent wood base.

Condition: Overall good condition with general wear, some casting irregularities, small nicks, and light scratches here and there. The gilding renewed at a later state.
