rectangular, the gold cagework mounts engraved with shell and scroll ornament, the lid, three sides and base inset with cut-cornered panels painted with Flemish kermesse and 17th century equestrian subjects, the reverse with a replacement panel, apparently unmarked

Good condition apart from new internal gold linings and replaced panel at back mentioned above.
