A GOOD FRENCH PATENTED WALNUT GAMING TABLE, LATE 19TH CENTURY, the quarter-veneered and brass-inlaid moulded rectangular top lifting off to reveal inlaid gaming boards to the underside, and labelled 'BOX-TABLE/L.P/BREVETE S.G.D.G', the base with hinged leaves and double sided baize lined centre board over a roulette wheel and three boxes with sliding tops and metal handles, containing gaming pieces, the quarter-veneered frieze similarly inlaid with brass, raised on tapering fluted legs terminating in spool feet. 72.5cm high, 89cm wide, 51cm deep
