Comprising a double hemisphere world map entitled "Mappe-monde Geo-Hydrographique ou Description Generale du Globe Terrestre et Aquatique En Deux-Plans-Hemisphere" by French cartographer Nicolas Sanson and printed Alexis-Hubert Jalliot, Paris - 1679. The map displays coloring to border lines in both hemispheres, uncolored cartouches, and depicts California as an island. Toned and foxed with small scattered losses around border and large losses to top two and lower left corner however, not distracting from the image. Image dimensions 35.5 inches (90 cm) X 21 inches (53.5 cm), unframed.
